Mission

The mission of this association shall be to:

(1) Provide a forum for professionals in the area of milk, food and environmental safety and quality

(2) Improve the professional status of the members

(3) Assist members in their technical work and professional development

(4) Disseminate information regarding the protection of milk, food and the environment

(5) Develop, improve and promote sanitary methods and procedures for the production, processing, distribution, preparation and serving of milk and food

(6) Develop and promote improved methods for the examination of milk, food and environmental samples

(7) Promote the development and adoption of uniform equipment and quality standards to improve the sanitary handling of milk and food

(8) Develop, improve and promote methods and procedures for protecting and improving the environment

(9) Cooperate with other professional groups in the improvement and promotion of milk, food and environmental sanitation

(10) Provide a framework for networking with other members of the association in the areas of job development and placement
